PARAKEETS
Parakeets sind die Geschwister Julius und Merle Eckardt, die seit 2016 gemeinsam Musik machen. Was als Indie-Rock-Projekt begann, entwickelte sich über die Jahre zu einem akustisch geprägten Indie-Pop-Sound mit Einflüssen aus Jazz, Funk, Folk und Bossa Nova. Heute stehen reduzierte Arrangements, Mehrstimmigkeit und eine intime Live-Ästhetik im Mittelpunkt.

Nach fast zehn Jahren Bandgeschichte erscheint mit Better Late Than Never erstmals ein vollständiges Album. Der gleichnamige Titeltrack eröffnet ein Werk, das sich durch warme Klangbilder, verspielte Melodien und ein feines Gespür für alltägliche Beobachtungen auszeichnet. Die Songs bewegen sich zwischen leiser Leichtigkeit und emotionaler Tiefe, ohne sich aufzudrängen.

Better Late Than Never erscheint am 27. Februar 2026 im Selbstverlag. Die Produktion des Albums wurde durch Förderungen des Ministeriums für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen sowie von Create Music NRW unterstützt.

Du kannst Dir vor Ort Essen und Trinken bestellen. Es wäre toll, wenn dies hauptsächlich vorher, in der Pause oder nachher geschehen würde, damit wir uns während des Konzertes auf die Musik konzentrieren können.

ANFAHRT & PARKEN

Ant Utama is a pop artist hailing from Aotearoa New Zealand and currently based in Cologne. The 2020 release of his debut EP Brave has amassed over 250k streams, with Ant now on the path to completing his next body of work, including his brand new single ‘Road Less Travelled’.

Born and raised in Howick and working the 9-5 grind in the corporate sector, Ant, tired of his current state and much to the dismay of his parents, packed up one day and headed to Germany to follow his heart and his dreams, and it has paid off.

Armed with new experiences and encounters through his travels, Ant has found his purpose as an artist; to inspire and encourage people to follow their dreams and aspirations.

Just back from her 2nd US tour this year, she launched her new show ‘Queer Arrivals’ at Liverpool Irish Festival in Oct 2025. She will kick off 2026 showcasing at FAI in New Orleans before a tour of Australia, including Port Fairy Folk Festival and a return to the US.

Was passieren kann, wenn man zwei gegensätzliche Genres verbindet, zeigt Florian Franke auf seinem am 18. September 2020 erscheinenden Album „Rosa Elefanten“. Eine Mixtur aus Pop und Jazz, die so natürlich wirkt, als wäre sie schon immer da gewesen. Feinsinnige Texte führen durch
Arrangements, die überraschen, aber dennoch vertraut scheinen. Mal schimmert eher die Leichtigkeit des Pops durch, mal überwiegt die Freiheit des Jazz. Ein gutes Stück vom Mainstream entfernt, erinnert der deutsche Jazz-Pop an eine Zeit, in der Musik nicht am Laptop, sondern im Studio
entstand. Dabei ist die Besonderheit des Albums, dass alles live und gleichzeitig eingespielt wurde. Mit einer fantastischen Band im Rücken ist Florian Franke ein Album geglückt, dass nicht nur den Kopf, sondern auch die Füße bewegt.

Seine Musik nennt er Jubelpop, denn Fabian Haupt lebt Deutschpop mit positiver
Energie, Hoffnung und Freude. Die Extremsportart Parkour veränderte seinen Blick
auf die Welt und man spürt das in seiner Musik. Er bringt kindliche Neugier und
tiefgründige Ernsthaftigkeit in Einklang und schafft den lebensbejahenden Sprung
von Angst zu Mut. Seine Poesie, seine animierend, eingängige Stimme und die
schiebenden Rhythmen sind der Grund dafür, dass man seine Musik immer und
überall mitsingen kann. „Musik ist unsere Chance aufeinander zuzugehen!“

Der Ursprung von Fabians Musik ist das Klavier: Schon mit fünf Jahren spielte er
vierhändig mit seinem Vater und lernte daraufhin klassisches Klavier, Jazz-Klavier
und Komposition für Orchester. Mit 16 Jahren war er zusammen mit seiner ersten
Band eine Woche in der Schweiz auf Tour. Dass er damals zum Frontmann und
Sänger wurde, verdankt Fabian einer Partie „Schere, Stein, Papier“. Sein Wunsch,
Filmmusik zu schreiben, brachte ihn zum Musikstudium in Düsseldorf, welches er
sich durch Parkour-Workshops finanzierte. Inspiriert durch den Lifestyle dieser
urbanen Extremsportart schrieb Fabian 2015 im Studium seinen ersten
deutschsprachigen Popsong. Nach seinem Bachelor-Abschluss ebnete er 2016
mit einem erfolgreichen Crowdfunding den Weg, um von der Musik leben zu
können. Er gewann 2017 mit seiner Band den Newcomer Förderpreis „Citybeats“
des Kulturamtes der Stadt Düsseldorf und in den letzten 4 Jahren vor der
Pandemie spielte Fabian deutschlandweit knapp 500 Konzerte.

VIOLA ALBERTINE

Viola Albertine is a musician who grew up between Ticino and Geneva. Alongside her studies in ethnomusicology at the University of Geneva, she pursued historical harp with Maria C. Cleary at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, and Bel Canto in Bologna with Miguel Curti.
With a background in fine arts, geography, dance, and piano, she now dedicates herself to the poetic essence of music, interpreting ancient texts such as the troubadour songs of the 11th–12th centuries in Occitan and French. Her work seeks the intrinsic link between poetic word and sound, where language becomes music, becomes song.
Her musical explorations are inspired by the modal traditions of the Mediterranean and Central Asia. In the moment of inspiration—between improvisation and composition, in deep listening—the voice sings within the silence that settles.

LUDOVICA PASCA

“There is something more important than our blossoming, our rebirth. That the news circulates among those wounded, which is all of us.”
So says the Portuguese poet José Tolentino de Mendonça, and so singing and writing, for Ludovica, are ways of spreading the news.
In her songs, her voice is an inner sounding board, restoring a vision of the world that is at once intimate and generous, fragile and strong, nostalgic and in constant motion. The lyrics tell of affections, rebirths, beloved forms of life—people, houses, trees. Music transforms everything into a language that endures while everything around us loses meaning.

MARY EMBER
Mary Ember is a Dutch singer-songwriter from The Hague. She blends the pure sound of Americana with the fresh energy of pop. Expect songs to fuel your inner flame, wrapped in a warm atmosphere and catchy melodies. Her sound may remind you of Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, or First Aid Kit.

Mary explores the bumps of existence, the journey from toxic to (seemingly) reciprocated love, and the insights she gains along the way. This year, she began releasing her first singles (e.g., Stronger Than the Water, Right Direction), and her debut EP will follow soon.

IS THIS A CONCERT OR DINNER MUSIC?
Quite clearly: concert! With the concerts we want to promote newcomer musicians with their own music, bring new music to the people, eat something good and have a great time with other people. For this to work, you should also listen to the bands at the concert and get involved with the music. This way the artists are not disturbed in their performance and the other guests are not disturbed while listening – and nothing stands in the way of a unique concert evening for everyone!

FOOD & DRINKS?
Ruby Emma offers a bar with a wide selection of drinks at moderate prices. For the small appetite there is a selection of snacks. However, cash payment is not possible.

We want to hear the music! That’s why we kindly ask you to be considerate when ordering drinks. Please order beverages that are noisy to prepare, like coffee or cocktails, before the performance starts or during breaks. You’ll have plenty of time to do so. The artists and the audience will thank you for it!

BB THOMAZ

Die deutsch-amerikanische Sängerin, Songwriterin und Produzentin hat sich das Klavier- und Gitarrenspiel selbst beigebracht. Sie hat an der Universität München studiert und hat einen Master-Abschluss in Musikwissenschaft. In New York geboren, mit 6 Jahren nach Deutschland gezogen.

Aufgrund von jahrelanger Misshandlungen, lief sie dann mit 16 Jahren von zu Hause weg und war auf sich allein gestellt. Ihr Song “Don’t go missing” wurde mit dem Grammy-nominierten Songwriter & Produzenten Kyle K2 Stewart II produziert und gewann 2016 den Deutschen Rock&Pop Preis.

Im Jahr 2017 stand sie dann im Finale von The Voice of Germany, was ihr die Zusammenarbeit mit Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran und Yvonne Catterfeld ermöglichte. Im Jahr 2022 veröffentlichte sie ihr erstes Afro-Soul-Album “Golden State of Mind”.

IST DAS EIN KONZERT ODER DINNERMUSIK?
Ganz klar: Konzert! Wir möchten mit den Konzerten Newcomer-Musiker mit ihrer eigenen Musik fördern, neue Musik unter´s Volk bringen, was gutes dabei essen und so eine tolle Zeit mit anderen Menschen verbringen. Damit das funktioniert, solltest Du auch beim Konzert der Bands zuhören und Dich auf die Musik einlassen. So werden die Künstler nicht bei ihrer Performance und die anderen Gästen beim Zuhören nicht gestört – und einem einmaligen Konzertabend für alle steht nichts mehr im Wege!

ESSEN & TRINKEN?
Das Ruby Luna bietet eine Bar mit einer großen Auswahl an Getränken zu moderaten Preisen. Für den kleinen Hunger gibt es eine Auswahl an Snacks. Barzahlung ist allerdings nicht möglich.

MUSIK wollen wir hören! Deswegen würden wir Dich bitten, beim Bestellen der Getränke etwas sensibel zu sein. Getränke, die in der Zubereitung laut sind wie Kaffee oder Cocktails, deswegen bitte vorher oder in den Pausen bestellen. Dazu bekommst Du genügend Zeit. Die Artists und das Publikum werden es Dir danken!

PARKEN
Zum Parken kann man das Q-Park Carsch-Haus nutzen oder öffentliche Parkplätze.

WAS IST, WENN ICH KEINE TICKETS KRIEGE?
Das ist natürlich schade! Aber Du kannst trotzdem kommen, denn es werden immer mal wieder Tickets frei. Setze Dich auf die Warteliste und erhalte eine Nachricht, wenn es freie Plätze gibt.

WARUM EINTRITT FREI?
Wir wollen, dass wirklich jede Person Zugang zu tollen Livemusik Veranstaltungen hat. Dies soll vor allem nicht am Geld scheitern. Und deswegen verlangen wir keinen Eintritt zu all unseren Konzerten. Natürlich müssen wir aber auch unsere Kosten decken und vor allem den Musikern faire Gagen zahlen für Ihre Auftritte. Deshalb lassen wir bei allen Konzerten unseren KÜNSTLERHUT herumgehen. In diesen kannst Du gerne Geld für den Künstler spenden. Natürlich nur wenn es Dir gefällt und es Deine Situation zulässt! So kannst Du dem Künstler etwas Gutes tun und anderen Konzertbesuchern, die sonst nicht genug Geld haben, um Konzerte zu besuchen. Der Inhalt des Hutes kommt zu 100% den Künstlern zugute.
