BLOOD DONOR
Last year saw Blood Donor release his debut record ‘Autofiction’. The album showcased his deft songwriting prowess alongside his eclectic musical ear. It earned a glowing 4-star review in the Irish Times (‘just what the doctor ordered’) and tracks like ‘Lonely Street’ and ‘Baby No More’ immediately found themselves in good standing on national radio and Spotify playlists alike.
A full-time doctor currently working in paediatrics, Luke’s songwriting comes from a need for decompression, a welcome salve from the intensity of hospital wards and job demands. His songwriting has recently taken a new shape; sometimes you need an immediate outlet, 3 minutes where you can shake your hips and lose your sense of the world for a while.
His releases to date have drawn press acclaim and enjoyed considerable airtime on radio stations in both Ireland and the UK, having been named a ‚Future Artist‘ by BBC Radio One’s Jack Saunders and having received healthy rotation on RTÉ 2FM, Today FM and FM104.
Known for his magnetism and presence as a frontman during his Otherkin years, he is now touring with a 5-piece band featuring some of Ireland’s finest live musicians, ready to produce more unforgettable live experiences. Stellar sets at the likes of Other Voices and Guinness Live and Rising earmarked Blood Donor as a one-to-watch.

IS THIS A CONCERT OR DINNER MUSIC?
Quite clearly: concert! With the concerts we want to promote newcomer musicians with their own music, bring new music to the people, eat something good and have a great time with other people. For this to work, you should also listen to the bands at the concert and get involved with the music. This way, the artists are not disturbed in their performance and the other guests are not disturbed while listening – and nothing stands in the way of a unique concert evening for everyone!
FOOD & DRINKS?
The Ruby MOLLY offers a bar with a large selection of drinks at moderate prices. For the small appetite there is a selection of snacks. However, cash payment is not possible.
We want to hear the music! That’s why we kindly ask you to be considerate when ordering drinks. Please order beverages that are noisy to prepare, like coffee or cocktails, before the performance starts or during breaks. You’ll have plenty of time to do so. The artists and the audience will thank you for it!
Why ADMISSION FREE?
We want every person to have access to great live music events. Above all, this should not fail because of money. And that’s why we don’t charge admission to any of our concerts. Of course, we also have to cover our costs and pay fair fees to the musicians for their performances. That’s why we pass around our KÜNSTLERHUT at all our concerts. You are welcome to donate money to the artist in this hat. Of course only if you like it and your situation allows it! This way you can do something good for the artist and for other concert-goers who otherwise would not have enough money to attend concerts. The content of the hat goes 100% to the artists.
